The Beginning: Cantonment Public School and College, Saidpur is spreading the light of education to the northern region of the country as a lighthouse. To enhance the overall development of the people of this area under the direct supervision of Bangladesh Army, the then Station Commander, Colonel S.M Shamsuzzaman took initiatives to establish this educational institution. On the 4^th April, 1979 Wednesday, the then Chief of Army Staff, Major General HM Ershad, inaugurated this institution. It started its historic journey only with 05 teachers and 176 students. First batch appeared at the SSC Examination in 1983 for the first time and HSC Examination in 1986. To keep pace with the modern education English Version School Section was started in 1998 and College Section in 2017.

Academic Achievements: This institution is academically very sound from the beginning. In its long journey, it has been crowned with many laurels for the continuation of its incredible academic results. This institution achieved consecutively two times ‘Sena Prodhan Trophy’ after being selected the best college among Cantonment Public School and Colleges on the basis of HSC result. In 1993, ‘Best Teacher Award’ was achieved in the national level. This institution achieved the prestige of being ‘The Best Educational Institution’ in National Education Week-2002.
