Bangladesh National Cadet Corps (BNCC)
BANGLADESH NATIONAL CADET CORPS (BNCC)
Bangladesh National Cadet Corps (BNCC) of Cantonment Public School and College, Saidpur was established on 10 May 2004. Here one Senior Mix Platoon of BNCC which includes the students of class XI and XII. This platoon has 31 BNCC cadets both male and female. Appointed teachers are 2 Lt. Dr. Md. Ashraful Kabir (CCO-0377), Senior Lecturer (Zoology);Â Acting PUO Ferdousi Yesmin, Lecturer (Bangla); Acting PUO Md. Lokman Hossain, Lecturer (Chemistry) have been assigned with the duty of BNCC. Cadets are trained by a trainer (staff) from Bangladesh Army twice a week.
In order to ensure knowledge, discipline, and unity of the students, this unit has been formed.Â
BNCC Cadets take part in the following activitiesâ
- Capsule training (yearly 2);
- Annual training camp (yearly 1);
- Central training camp (yearly 1);
- Tree plantation program;
- Natural disaster program;
- Preventing eve-teasing;
- Anti-drug campaign; and
Various social and cultural activities
Objectives:
- To develop individual character, leadership qualities, and sense of dedication to national affairs;
- To provide military training to young students so as to stimulate their interest for the defense of the country;
- To provide disciplined volunteers for the national development programs and during natural disasters;
- To provide a second-line defense in the face of external aggression and invasion;
- To build up a reserve of potential leaders for various walks of national life including the armed forces.
Motto of BNCC: Grooming Future Leader
The other name of BNCC is discipline. The disciplined activities BNCC cadets are exhibited when our institution authority engage them in various works. They have shown their great caliber during the July uprising by maintaining the discipline of Traffic. Because of their extra-ordinary talent many of them have got admission as Officer Cadets in Bangladesh army.
