Scouts Activities
To foster the development of young people physically, intellectually, socially, and spiritually Scouts has always played an important role. This is achieved through a variety of methods, including character development, citizenship training, personal fitness, and leadership development. Scouting also aims to provide opportunities for skill acquisition, belonging to a group, and contributing to a worthy cause. To build up ideal and responsible citizens, Scouts has always played a pioneering role. Scouts unit of Cantonment Public School and College, Saidpur was established on 1st May, 2018. Here a mixed Scouts unit of Girl and a Boy has been running well with its activities. It includes the students of class Six to Ten. This unit has 32 girl scouts and 32 boy scouts in number. A senior teacher of high school section, Rowshon Ara Chowdhury has been assigned with the duty of unit leader. This Scouts unit has been working for the physical, mental and moral development of the students and encourages them to participate in various social service activities.
Functions: Scouts are trained by Scouts unit leader twice a week. Scouts take part in the following activities:

Objectives:
- âĸ To develop individual character, leadership qualities and sense of dedication to national affairs
- âĸ To provide disciplined volunteers for the national development programmes and during natural disasters.
- âĸ To build up a reserve of potential leaders for various walks of national life
- âĸ To develop potential human resources for the development of nation
- The display of the organized activities of the Scouts is very much visible when they are given responsibility to maintain the discipline of the institution during the time some kind of both institutional and national programmes are held. They have been awarded by the Local Government Authority for their outstanding performances in different camps.
